Glenn Peters – System 1A 10,000 lb. with dual trough turf kit
Just want to let Mohawk know, this lift is the ONLY solution if you have to lift road vehicles, and turf equipment. I was told by another lift supplier that there was no lift made that could do this. Their solution was to buy two lifts! This was not practical due to space limitations. We are a private country club, and 95% of what I service is turf equipment.
However, I have two Chevy pickups to service as well. It is the most valuable tool in the shop!
Christopher Boodoo – System 1 Two Post Lift
Firstly i am located Trinidad in the Caribbean so wanted to be trouble free. I purchased this lift for my home hobby shop with the 4 wheel adapters. Instructions are clear, did the concrete work as instructed in their manual. the installation was a breeze, given the fact i never installed a lift before. Mohawk lifts have problem free operation and you feel much safer under them with those massive post, the chain system vs the cable ones, the locking mechanism is strong and the Lifting arms are chunky.. the fact that it was made in the USA.. They have an amazing Tech department that can help you through anything.. I waited a year after using this lift to write a review and can say with its use i see no problems in the near future.. You do get what you pay for when you buy a MOHAWK..
Lee, D&L Car Care LLC – System I
I am starting a small Automotive repair shop and when I went looking for lifts, I was introduced to the Mohawk System 1 lift. I was very impressed with its build quality to all the others the company had for sale. They Included but not limited to rotary and challenger. The construction difference was like comparing apples to oranges.
Anyways I was very impressed with the product and the warranty, that I purchased the system 1 over any of the others they offered. Even though it is more up front cost, I feel it will be a worth while long term investment.
That being said, I like to back products that I feel are built well and will last, so I was wondering if you have any such banners with your name on them I could hang on my walls and such to promote your products
David McBurnett – TP-20
The Mohawk TP-20 provides us flexibility to our shop operations–we can lift a Prius or a Bucket truck.
Mary Barlett with Mohawk provided outstanding customer service. She answered all questions, kept us updated on the lift production & delivery schedule. She even made a follow up call after the lift was installed.
Dick Anke – A-7
My name is Richard Anke and I am the proud owner of an A-7 lift for 5 years or so. It’s set up in my home/hobby garage. I love my lift. I and many of my friends have used it for everything from maintenance to repairs and upgrades to our personal vehicles. It really is top notch; when I go to a shop and see some of the competition I wonder why a professional shop would use such flimsy equipment. Thanks a lot for a great product. One of the reasons that I purchased from Mohawk was because it is all American made and I haven’t been disappointed.
Sincerely,
Dick Anke
Dan Cummer – System I
Subject: Thanks – and happy New Year to you
Hi Glenn,
It has been two years tomorrow since I got my Mohawk System 1 in place and I wanted to say “thanks” and let you know how much I enjoy it.
I don’t have any crazy stories of projects done on it, but it is a joy for all the day-to-day car stuff I find to do. Belly pans on newer cars are actually fun, unlike when you are crawling underneath, and no more atf showers when pulling a transmission pan. My biggest surprise with the lift is how nice it is to be able to store a car on it and park underneath.
The quality of the lift makes it a joy to use – can’t imagine owning another brand after using a Mohawk. My advice to anyone considering a Mohawk is go for it – you’ll only regret you didn’t get it sooner. You and Tim have been excellent with your knowledge of product. I have great memories of driving home from your place with my new lift in my f350.
Best of luck to you – I hope you and your guys have a great new year!
Dan Cummer
Richard Taeger – A7
Just wanted to thank the Mohawk company, best money I ever spent on shop equipment. I have an A-7 that I purchased in 2012, looked at many lifts but none compare to Mohawk. Tip of the day, buy American and get quality enough said!
David C. Arizona – System 1
To Whom it May Concern,
My name is David and I purchased a new Mohawk System Iift, and had it install on 4/22/13. I wanted to share my experience. I started by searching the Internet to see available lifts. There are several and took some time to sort through. Then looked into getting a lift delivered, and install it myself. After considering this option for a moment. I decided with Mohawk. For safety reasons I wanted it installed, to insure proper operation. So, after researching I found in the end, safety and quality were my priority. Not price. So much. After reading pros and cons of lifts. I decided on Mohawk for sure.
Why risk safety and would you risk your 50,000 dollar vehicle to some cheap alternative?
I called “Mohawk Lifts Southwest” and spoke with Mike. He gladly answered all my questions and insisted if I had any more questions he would be glad to discuss them. So after considering options and installation. I called Mike back and purchased my awesome lift. So we discussed install dates and set the day !
Well the day arrived and I was stoked ! Mike and Adam showed up on time with all the right stuff and started the install. These guys are machines! They did a fantastic install in front of my eyes. There is NO WAY I would have tackled this job.
Mike is very professional, informative, and is easy to talk with. Adam is a great worker with a great attitude. Would love to have Adam as a Service Tech in my business. But is better served in what he does, lucky you.
After the lift was up and operational (4 to 5 hours with me asking every question I could, sorry guys.) Adam thoroughly explained every aspect of operation and control of lift. Pointing out your outstanding safety features and quality of construction and most of all, all American made. (YES)!
So after all was done I vowed to see them at the Nevada SEMA show this year 2013!
I can’t say Thanks enough for having such a great job done. My lift is awesome and I would buy nothing else.
Thanks again for a high quality product and American craftsmanship. I look forward to using my lift many years!!!!! I highly recommend anyone buying a lift in Arizona to call Mike at “Mohawk Lifts Southwest”
Thank You,
David C. Arizona
TCS Garage – System I & TR-25
Absolute best lifts in the industry. I’m 6’2″ and they go high enough so I never stop. Bought ’em from Steve back in 85 and the only maintenance I’ve had is a couple of times the start capacitor on the motor failed. Changed the fluid once and they keep on lifting. Having had an old screw type lift that collapsed I bought for strength and safety. Can’t say enough about the quality and safety. Most Excellent Job Mohawk crew!
Derrell Gumm/G&G Auto Sales – A7
Superb, well made, after looking at others and seeing/hearing horror stories, I went with Mohawk in 2004 & its one of the best investments I’ve made. Can’t imagine working under anything less.
Phil Curran – Tomahawk
I bought a Tomahawk lift from a car dealer that was roughly 3 years old. It looked and operated like brand new, nice heavy duty lift, it says 9,000 lbs but I bet it could easily do more.
Joe Campos – Midway Auto & Truck Service
I started my business in 1981 and a few years later I was able to purchase my first lift. Did my research and found out my best bet was to spend my money on something that would give the best value for my money. I’ve had this lift for over 25 years, and the only problem I’ve had was the electric motor bolts came loose and all I did was tighten them up. It’s the best lift in my shop!

Mark L. Schuck – customer service praise
RE: Customer service praise (Sales rep: Edward Biebel)
Sir,
I write to praise the outstanding customer service I have received from Mr. Ed Hiebel from Niles, Michigan. America needs more “sold out” sales people that represent professionalism, such as Ed
Ed has taken care of my equipment needs, through “All Automotive equipment” in Nunica, Michigan, for the last 22 years. I have purchased 15 hoists from Ed over the years, and his personal attention surpasses what you would expect. His expertise keeps me coming back.
I also happen to love your product, even though fine customer service is as important to
me.

Mark Thoun – A7: 7,000lb 2 Post
We purchased our A7 a few years ago after having built the garage for our sports car/toy. All other lifts were investigated, but the Mohawk lift is far supperior and stronger than anything i’ve seen on the market. The purchasing experience was good and getting the information dirrectly from Mohawk at first about footprint and other items i had questions on was great. We don’t use the lift nearly as much as any shop would and likely way more of a lift than we need, but i’m glad we purchased this unit. Not in a million years am I EVER going to worry about this lift breaking at a weld or keeling over. This unit is by far twice the thickness of any other i saw. Wonderful product if you can get your hands on one. No issues with it either.
Jake McCormick: System I
I made a trip from central Wisconsin to SEMA/AAPEX Las Vegas in November 2010 with the intention of buying a 2-post lift. After doing a lot of research prior to the show I was fairly certain I would be content with a budget lift. I had used 4 different brands of 2-post lifts in production shops in he past and knew what options to look for and to stay away from in terms of ease of use, placement, safety, and longevity. At the show I had the option to see 12 different comparable lifts assembled. 7 of the 12 lifts in the class I was looking at (10,000lb wide symmetrical) I would not have felt comfortable putting my riding lawnmower on let alone 10,000 pounds. From undercut welds, pin holes in welds, visible twists in posts, pregnant hydraulic hoses, frayed cables, cheap hardware, dry paint, and crooked decals, the choice was clear that these pieces of junk were no longer in the running. Of the remaining 5 lifts, only 3 were built in America. Seeing the massive size of the Mohawk columns made the choice quite obvious. The ability to run the hard line hydraulics through the floor or at any height overhead was one final nail in the column. I bought my lift 2 months after the show, installed it myself, and have not had a single regret in its so-far flawless service. After comparing the value of investment to similarly priced Snap-On tool boxes, the initial purchase price pays for itself in piece of mind knowing its the only tool I use everyday that I actually stand underneath! Looking forward to a lifetime of use from my Mohawk lift!

One of the companies I work for uses Mohawk lifts in their and research and development department. It’s the people behind 4WD.com. They swear by these lifts, saying that they are very easy to use, and stand up to the constant work they throw at it it. I believe this is an A-7 Asymmetrical auto lift. They also have a System I two post lift. They post regularly on Team4WheelParts.com, where you can see the lifts in many shots of the R&D dept. http://www.team4wheelparts.com/jeep-upgrades/

Chris – Factory Tour
Hi Steve,
I was at the factory last Friday and was given a tour by Mitch. He was very helpful and showed me everything. It really is wonderful to see American made products under construction. Not only did I see the start-to-finish product, I saw the faces of the people making them. I knew Mohawk was the best and now I know first hand why that is. It was well worth the 90 minute ride.
Thanks again,
Chris

**I have a System 1 in my gargage, I installed it myself. It lifts my 964 with no problems. I just dropped the engine on my car recently and dont know of any maintence work that you couldn’t perform with this lift. You’d be hard pressed to find a better lift, in my opinion. I bought it b/c in addition to my P-car, I routinely lift full size pickups/suburbans/etc.

**I bought a new 9000lbs mohawk in 86 or 87 for my garage business, I have since sold to a buddy, about 10 years ago, anyhow, it has been in full commercial use since day one, and it was my main lift, until I sold it, and its Matts main lift right up till today (in a general repair shop). It has seen ZERO repairs, original pump, motor, cylinders, nothing has been repaired, the oil not even changed. And they are overbuilt, and I would buy another one. Ive worked in two shops that had bendpaks, Id still prefer to work under the beef of the Mohawk.

**I have had a mohawk lift for about 20yrs and I have not had any problems, always works and is very safe. I also have 4 4000lb jack stands that are always placed under the cars. Mine is the 6000lb version. I have no regrets on buying a mohawk lift.

**I’ve used a 10K, 2 post Mohawk lift in a professional repair shop for over 30 years
In my book that’s tough to beat.
Oldcarguy – Garage Journal
**The Mohawk is a lift in a class by itself. And one cannot truly compare it to many lifts manufactured today.
We’re not talking apples and oranges comparing the other two lifts to the Mohawk. To begin with the Mohawk weighs in at twice that of any of the other two. And it’s very noticeable when you see one. The floor plate and columns are massive compared to the others. Each carriage is guided by Eight roller bearings in solid ¾” thick steel channels, similar to a lift truck’s mast. The others use plastic slides riding in 1/8” formed steel. The lift cylinders have 4” diameter pistons with 2 ¾” piston rods (the others use 2 1/ 2” diameter pistons) and are guaranteed for Life. Plus you don’t need to worry about choosing an asymmetrical or symmetrical model and about the doors hitting the columns. The Mohawk’s recommended columns spacing is 10’ apart and eliminates that issue.
The Mohawk has some unique design features that made it well worth it for my particular application. The columns are only 8 ½’ tall and don’t limit me in placement under my bridge crane runway beams. Along with not having an overhead cables or a floor plate. Rather two 3/8” diameter seamless stainless steel hydraulic lines that can be routed in the cement floor or overhead. If you look at the pictures, you can see them run at an angle across the ceiling and through one of the fluorescent fixtures.
The beauty of the Mohawk two-post lift is that you can space the columns anywhere up to 120” apart. They are not limited by overhead cables. I have mine set at 120” and that leaves 106” drive through clearance
**The Mohawk System I is one fantastic lift. It is great for lower ceiling heights. My ceiling is 12 foot high. And I have no problems lifting my 7,000 pound Avalanche 2500. I can still stand underneath it without stooping.
Wayne Andrews – System 1A
Hello All, just a note on my System 1A-10 lift. IT’S GREAT!! I look around for three months, spoke to everyone who either made or owned a lift and spent a lot of time on the internet doing research on all lifts that I could find.
One day I was talking to a salesman from another lift manufacturer and he mentioned how Mohawk Lifts were the best, more to himself so as for me not to hear him. But I did hear him; I thanked him for talking with me and went directly to my computer to research Mohawk Lifts and WOW!!! As they say, the rest is history.
I watched the videos, watched how they were made, construction materials that were used and the QUALITY of the products really impressed me.
Also, I noticed that they weight almost 1,000 pounds more than any other lift. Making it sturdier with no twists, bends, creaks etc… All steel, bigger cylinders and a huge footprint.
I made a few calls to guys I knew that had a Mohawk and they all said they loved them. I spoke to one guy that’s been in the car repair business for almost 40 years and who also owns a Mohawk Lift. I asked him how he liked it, he said he’s had it for 30 years or so and has not had to do anything to it, that’s quality!!
Mine’s been up for about two years now and we just leave it. It operates very smoothly, no jerks or jumping. Just top quality workmanship!!
In closing, no you can’t have my lift back, no it’s not for sale and I will never buy anything but a MOHAWK!!

Dennis Feldpusch – A-7
WOW, my Mohawk A-7 Lift is great!! Prior to purchasing my Mohawk A-7 I thoroughly researched approximately ten lift manufacturers concentrating on these five areas: build quality, material specifications, safety, warranty, and origin of manufacturer. The Mohawk far exceeded in all areas. It truly is a quality, heavy-duty piece of equipment … and it’s made in the U.S.A.! Buck Gasner, my sales person, was always available to answer my many questions, expertly coordinated delivery and installation, and continues to stay in touch. Bill Potter of Triangle Services, installed my A-7 in about 6 hours, and has called several times since to ensure my continued satisfaction. It’s nice to have quality people like Buck and Bill to back up a great product. Purchasing my Mohawk has been an all-around excellent experience.

Allen Larned – IA-10,000
I recently purchase an IA-10,000, Mohawk Lift, and wanted to tell of my experience with it.
I had zero previous, specific knowledge of lifts. I started my education on the internet and looked at many manufacturers. I had narrowed the selection to another lift, but never felt comfortable with it as they failed to address footing for the columns. Mohawk was the only company to address the footings with detailed drawings and specific instructions. The massive footing was dug and re-barred as concrete was arriving in a few days, even though I had not purchased a Mohawk, yet.
I received all the needed information from you on the phone the next day, and the confidence knowing I had selected the best lift. Your knowledge of the product and your company, and your excellent customer care, dispelled any concerns.
The arrival of the Mohawk Lift could be intimidating to most “virgin” customers. I had no previous installation knowledge, just common sense. Installation was simple and easy, other than the fear of dropping one, which did not happen. The Lift is gorgeous and looks brand new, even after shipping it 3,000 miles. I feel compelled to routinely dust it. I opted for the weight gauge, and it is an excellent addition. My 290 pound friend can get the gauge to move a little. I have already used and weighed two of my project cars. I am waiting for warmer weather to install the door guards.
Thank you for the Mohawk Lift and all of your assistance. Your knowledge made it easy to install and fine tune the installation of the Mohawk Lift. I know I own the best lift made.

Went into a dealership that had 4 major brands of automotive lifts, the superior quality of MOHAWK COMPARED TO THE OTHERS was immediately obvious. After seeing all of them in one place and the superior quality of the Mohawk Lift I would be afraid to walk under a vehicle on the other lifts. Mohawk is the only lift that I will buy from now on.

“The Mohawk Turf Package has made a world of difference. It is easier to service lawn maintenance equipment since you can see better, the equipment is more secure on the lift than the floor jack, but most importantly there is no more lying on the floor in awkward positions for the back and rest of the body.”

Dan Hohman – System I
Dear Tim,
I wanted to share my latest System I experience with you. This past weekend I put my wife’s ESV Escalade on the lift.As you know these truck are quite heavy. After raising the truck all the way up and seeing the weight difference compared to my sports cars I was relieved that I made the decision to buy your lift.Even on your lift you could see the slight deflection in arms. The arms moved more with the additional weight.
I felt totally comfortable standing under the truck and confident that it was doing its job. I have seen a few other lifts recently and there is no way I would have felt as assured with another product.
A customer of mine just purchased a Forward lift.It looks like a toy compared to my Mohawk. They advertised a 4.5″ pad height.Well the arm is about 6 inches from the floor. As you know sports cars have a short wheel base and do not require the arms to be extended. With my Corvette and Viper the lifting points actually rest on the arms. With the Forward lift if you had to rest on the arms you could not get the arms under the car without raising the car on boards.
As far as my concerns with exiting and entry of the vehicle, they are gone.I have no problem getting out or in any of my vehicles. With your lift there is no need for an asymmetric design.Sure it may be easier but it is a non issue.
I want to thank you for your proffessionalism, expertise and integrity.I know your products may not be for everyone but if you ever have anyone on the fence please feel free to pass me along for a reference for you and your company.
Sincerely,
Dan Hohman
Tom Dickey – System I
Hi Ray,
Originally our dragster was a 1968 Camaro. Very little remains of what came off the line at the factory. The roof is about the only part of the car that is comparatively unchanged. The rear quarter-panels and roof are presently the only body portion of the car that are still metal. All other body items have been replace by fiberglass. This car will do the quarter in the mid to low seven seconds at 180 plus MPH.
I never payed much attention to lifts in general until I thought about buying one. Thanks goodness I did my homework and researched, on line, a number of lift manufacturers. Needless-to-say, Mohawk surpassed all of its competition. Now, on occasions when I find myself where lifts are in use I compare theirs to mine. Most noticeable on other lifts are their thin metal construction. Small footprint on the floor. Little puny rams. Anemic appearing lift arms. Need I continue?
You may take this as Gospel, I’d give up virtually everything else in the shop before I’d give up our Mohawk lift. To say that I had no idea of how much we would use our lift would be a gross under statement. Want to know what I like the most regarding our Mohawk lift? I like the safe feeling I have as I see my sons and grandsons working under it. I enjoy the heavy solid click one hears as the lift is raised and the safety latch’s engage.
When next you see your CEO in his office or the guy on the production floor welding the side posts, pass along from me a a heartfelt thanks and a pat on the back for a job well-done.
A very satisfied customer.
